Rockets on DisplayRecently we moved our LC series of rockets to the Sangre de Cristo Art Center in Pueblo, Colorado. They will be on display there through August. LC-1 - This display shows the remains of our original rocket. The craft compressed as designed after the nosecone sheered off and the parachute was unable to deploy. Despite impacting the ground nose first, nearly all the payload was recovered. LC-2 - Designed as bigger and badder version of the LC-1, this craft became a technology demonstator. In the course of building such a large craft, we learned what to do better. It has never flown and most likely never will. LC-3 - Flown in 2005 and recovered in 2006, this was the last of the LC series of vehicles. The design lessons learned from LC-2 we incorporated into this vehicle.
